While your article is from jump very poorly edited and not even about the origins of Dancehall music, I did get out of it that you are saying that Dancehall is fun? What are you talking about? These days I dread Danchehall focused parties and look instead for Reggae parties. Dancehall is on the way out. The old stars are getting older every day and will soon be converting to Reggae Gospel! The new ones are coming into a worldwide enviornment were educated enlightened people young and old alike are not going to tolorate the music.

Dancehall is 99.9% of the time focused on explicit sex acts complete with dances to support it, violence, and "entertainment" as you call it that totally disrespects women (and really encourages many to disrespect themselves just to be noticed and part of the in crowd) and, also picks on and encourages listeners to do the same to people who are different than themselves--that's being a bully--live and let live. I'm not 24 coming out of a true Christian home but none too strict and uptight that my siblings and I can't party. With everything that everyone knows about Dancehall as mentioned above, I can only ask you what's fun and moreover beneficial about it?

Dancehall is at best what people all over the world call it, pure unadulterated slackness. So my next question to you is since when is being slack fun? We know it is profitable but I'm tired of dancehall artists making money off my community. Thet charge promoters tons just to appear at shows and in turn they charge us a bundle--that's not the love of the music or the fans, that's about greed. Grow up and stop contributing to and promoting messages that encourage making money by selling down the river the morals and pride of your community in the name of fun. Think. Don't let thugs and corporations control your world while they live in mansions off of what we pay morally and finacially. It's you and those of us that attend the parties that "make it" worthwhile!

My friends and I can dance to anything and further, we don't need or care to hear suggestions about who to kill, how to sex our men or actually have a strange man that wants to dance attempt to ram his stuff up my behind in public to prove how manly he is or how cool, sexy and willing I am. That's straight up nasty and I'm much more than a sex object.

It's a lie. Reggae parties are far from boring -- just take the time to check out some of the big ones. And you meet some wonderful guys that like to dance and have good clean fun too!!! Those of you who choose un-conscious Dancehall as fun seriously need therapy. It's a no brainier...respect yourself...find a Reggae party and say no once and for all to slackness.
